Bowers & Wilkins have released an updated Series 2 version of their hugely popular P3 headphones.
The new release comes just days after the announcement of the new wireless P7, and also a price reduction of £40 for the original wired P7, and a massive £100 off of the original price of the P5 Wireless – now £229.
The new P3 S2 is the entry level on-ear headphone offering from Bowers & Wilkins, but entry level for Bowers & Wilkins still gets you a serious set of cans. The P3 S2 takes all that was great about the outgoing P3 and incorporates some of the more luxurious elements from higher up the range, such as, sheep leather replacing the fabric found on the headband and ear cups of the outgoing model.

Sound wise, B&W are aiming for better accuracy and greater bass punch with the help of new drivers and “unique damping system to control diaphragm movement”.
iPhone and Android users are well catered for with the inclusion of two cables to choose from, one of which is optimised for iDevices, the other for “all mobile phones”. Changing the cables is nice and easy to do, you simply pop off the magnetic earpad to reveal the socket.
