IFA 2016 is now in full swing, with manufacturers from all over the globe heading to Germany to show off their latest and greatest gadgets and all things tech related.
And it’s Sony who have caught our eye with the showcasing of 3 new high-end audio products, featuring the MDR-1000X Hi-Res wireless noise cancelling stereo headphones, TA-ZH1 ES headphone amp, and the outrageously good looking NW-WM1Z Walkman®.
The MDR-1000X Hi-Res headphones will feature what Sony are calling ‘industry leading noise cancellation’ technology, along with a ‘Quick Attention mode’ which will allow you to hear PA announcements or have a quick chat with a friend without having to remove the headphones.
If you’re more of a stay at home headphone kind of guy or girl then Sony have a very interesting headphone amp that might be of interest to you. The TA-ZH1 ES, to give it its full name, gives you the option of using either XLR, unbalanced or balanced connections, along with support for DSD files.
Lastly we have the Sony NW-WM1Z, Sony’s new flagship portable music player that will set you back an eye watering $3200 in the US! But don’t worry, if you want a cheaper version and can live without having your Walkman® being made from solid, oxygen free copper, there is an aluminium version, a snip at just $1200.
The signature series is due to be released in October.
